URBANBLOOM is a modern and urban flower shop in Amsterdam and a subsidiary of Bloemen op Locatie. URBAN BLOOM is focussed on arranging the best bouquets for people in and around Amsterdam, and delivering them to their doorstep. Bloemen op Locatie is an event and locations florist focussed on business to business projects and location styling.
Modern and urban bouquets
In our flower shop we arrange bouquets with lots of different seasonal flowers. Each one standing out and claiming its own space in the arrangement. Flowers of different lengths, colors and shapes are arranged together, creating depth and excitement. Most florists use green fillers to create volume but we prefer airy bouquets without green fillers. Just flowers and nothing else. We consider ourselves “flower ambassadors” with a mission to have you enjoy flowers as much and as long as possible.
LOCATED IN BUZZING AMSTERDAM EAST
URBAN BLOOM, Amsterdam’s modern and urban flower shop is located in the eastern part of Amsterdam. Once the shady corner of Amsterdam, the Indische buurt (Indonesian quarter) in the Eastern part of Amsterdam is now buzzing with excitement. The Javastraat (Java street) and Javaplein (Java square) is home to Turkish patisseries, a vintage market, exciting bars, restaurants, and places to hang out. A vibrant mix and we are lucky to be in the middle of it.
environmentally Conscious
URBANBLOOM operates in an environmentally and socially conscious way. We realize our responsibility for the environment and society and handle our use of energy, waste and drinking water sustainably. We choose our products with great care and with an eye for the environment. That is why we preferably buy our flowers from local, environmentally conscious farmers.
To give you some examples of the sustainability measures we have taken for our company: our transport has been done with 100% electrical cars since november 2014 resulting in zero emission. Also our workshop does not use any natural gas and is not even connected to the network.
